Kabwe Town Clerk suspended

By JOHN SAKALA
Kabwe Town Clerk Ronald Daka has been suspended by the Local Government Service Commission for failing to unblock choked sewer line.

Mr Daka has confirmed to The Independent Observer of receiving the letter of suspension from the Local Service Commission for under-performance but refused to offer any further comments.

He was suspended by the Amos Musonda led Commission under the guise of under-performance after the Town Clerk was slapped with mud of failing to unblock blocked sewer manhole.

The Town Clerk was suspended following the recent visit of the President to Kabwe where a sewer was found blocked and instead of asking Lukanga Water and Sewerage Company, the blame went on Mr Daka whose Council had workers protesting.

He was also accused of sponsoring PF cadres to butter Kabwe Municipal Council employees who had protested over delayed salaries
