Ministry of Local Government and Rural Development has disbursed K1-billion to all the 156 Constituencies countrywide.
Ministry for Local Government and Rural Development Permanent Secretary Maambo Haamaundu said the disbursement was done yesterday and all local authorities have since received the funding.
Mr Haamaundu said that from the K25.7-million allocated to each constituency in this year’s National Budget, less than five million kwacha is remaining to be disbursed.
He said the release of the funds is meant to help the local authorities implement CDF projects which were approved by the Ministry.
