Police in Chingola have arrested a male juvenile for allegedly murdering a fellow juvenile.
The suspect juvenile is aged 18 while the slain is two years younger.
Police Spokesperson Rae Hamoonga confirmed the arrest of the juvenill in a statement issued yesterday.
He said the victim was beaten and assaulted on November, 8, 2021 around 19:00 hours at the Junction of Mwaimwena and Nalumango Road in Chingola.
“Police on the Copperbelt have detained a Male Juvenile aged 18 of unknown house number in Chingola for the Murder of a fellow Male Juvenile Ndanji Sikasote aged 16 of house number 34 Mushili road in Chiwempala,” he said.
Mr Hamoonga said Sikasote sustained a swollen backside of the head and bleeding from the nose and mouth.
“Fists are alleged to have been used in the act. The deceased was rushed to Chawama Health Centre where he died on November 9, 2021 at around 03:00 hours,” he said.
He said the suspect is in Police custody.
