Jumulo FC go 11 games unbeaten

By JOHN SAKALA
Kitwe based division two side Jumulo Football Club this yesterday extended its unbeaten run to 11 games.

This is after they came from a goal behind to draw 1 all with Chimwemwe Chiefs in an exciting match played at Kafubu Stadium in Luanshya.

Chimwemwe Chiefs (CC) drew first blood in the 13th minute.

Ricky Banda scored in 18th minute but his goal was ruled out for offside. It remained 1 nil to Chimwemwe Chiefs at the break.

Jumulo FC piled up pressure right from the resumption of the second half.

They missed a number of chances and were rewarded with a penalty in 68th minute after a Chiefs player deliberately handled the ball in the box.

Ricky Banda stepped up and converted the resultant penalty to extend his goal tally to 5 goals in 10 matches.

In the 80th minute Chimwemwe Chiefs were reduced to 10 men after their player was given a red card for retaliation. The visitors (CC) held on for their dear lives for a draw.
This result also means that Jumulo are top of the log with 20 points.

Jumulo FC uses Kafuba stadium in Luanshya as its home ground because its home ground ‘Buchi’ is undergoing renovations.
