Japan donates health center kits

The Japanese Government has donated health center kits to the Ministry of Health worth about Two point Eight million dollars.

Japanese Embassy Charge D’ Affairs Ominato Satoshi said the donation of medical kits is cardinal especially amidst the corona virus pandemic that has put pressure on the health sector.

“The health center kits will strengthen Zambia’s health care system by assisting in fighting various diseases and ease the financial burden of government as it strives to fight COVID-19,” he said.

And Ministry of Health Permanent Secretary for Technical Services Kennedy Malama said health Centre kits are at the bedrock of health care systems in Zambia.

“Availability of essential medicines is important to Zambia’s health sector especially in the wake of the COVID-19; I will wish to urge all district health directors to ensure that the medicines are not stolen, directors should advance the process of monitoring and ensure that whoever is found wanting is disciplined,” he said.
