A Pharmaceutical Expert Jerome Kanyika has called on the newly appointed Minister of Health Sylvia Masebo to get to the bottom of the Honey bee pharmacy scandal that saw expired drugs been supplied to the Ministry of Health.
Speaking in an interview today, Mr Kanyika said that Zambians still want to know how those expired drugs came into the country.
He said the majority Zambians still need answers about the expired drugs and the side effects.
“It is in our best interest as Zambians to know about the expired drugs and now that we have our own UPND Minister of health, it is important to find out the root cause of expired drugs, “he said.
Mr Kanyika has appealed to the newly appointed Minister of health Sylvia Masebo to look into the issue seriously and update the nation.
He said tempering with people’s health is a sensitive issue and cannot be ignored or forgotten because of the side effects.
