Zambia’s High Commissioner to India Judith Kapijimpanga says Zambia is one of the best investment destinations in Africa, after ranking 4th Most Peaceful Country in Africa, according to the 2020 Global Peace Index
At a Virtual Conference organised by Bharat Chamber of Commerce – Kolkata and Zambia High Commission in India, MsKapijimpanga said investors should target Zambia’s energy, construction, tourism and agriculture sectors as priotised by President Edgar Lungu
She says tourists can now go to Zambia while taking into consideration the strict adherence to public health guidelines stipulated by Zambian Government, amid the Coronavirus Pandemic.
The High Commissioner said Government is further encouraging private sector investments in the healthcare industry with the objective of making Zambia a medical tourism hub for the regio
Ms Kapijimpanga has praised Bharat Chamber of Commerce for working with the Mission as Kolkata is an educational, commercial and cultural centre of the Eastern part of India, and is the third most populous metropolitan city of India
She also said that Kolkata is a pioneer in the field of drama, arts, theatre and literature with several nobel laureates contributing to the Kolkata culture which Zambia can benchmark from
