An infant in Chongwe has been burnt to death after a house he was sleeping in caught fire.
The inferno occurred yesterday June13, 2018 around 20:00hrs in Rufunsa District.
Police Assistant Public Relations Officer Godfrey Chilabi said police in Chongwe received a report in which a house caught fire leaving a male child aged 2 burnt to death.
Mr Chilabi said it is alleged that the fire was caused by a brazier which was left burning in the House where the child was sleeping.
He said investigations have been instituted.
The body of the minor is lying in Chongwe District Hospital mortuary awaiting postmortem.
