Technology and Science Minister Felix Mutati says a team of assessors will visit the Industrial Training Centre (ITC) in Lusaka to potentially upgrade the institution to a center of excellence for auto motives.
Mr MutatI has also assured management at the institution of Government’s support.
He said there is need to invest in youths to become entrepreneurs and create jobs.
He also advised learners to stay disciplined and acquire the skills needed during lessons.
Mr Mutati was speaking during the handover of trucks, buses, trailers and a simulator to ITC by Transair.
And, Transport and Logistics Minister Frank Tayali urged transporters to take advantage of the institution and register their drivers.
He said Government expects to see highly trained and disciplined drivers on the road.
And ITC Board Chairperson Francis Yamba said the institution has trained thousands of drivers working locally and abroad.
