Immigration deports Turkish Director for sexual abuse

The Department of Immigration has deported 55-year-old Turkish national, Taciddin Sahutoglu, for sexually abusing his female employees.

Sahutoglu, a Director and shareholder at Deniz Blocks and Pavers Factory, was deported on June 14, 2024, following investigations into reports of sexual abuse and labor law violations.

The Department revoked his residence permit and deported him under a warrant signed by the Minister of Home Affairs and Internal Security. He departed Zambia on an Emirates flight from Kenneth Kaunda International Airport.

According to Public Relations Officer, Namati Nshinka said this deportation serves as a warning to foreign employers who exploit and abuse their employees.

“We will not hesitate to revoke permits and recommend deportation for such employers,” Nshinka said. “We encourage employees to report erring employers to the relevant authorities.”
