I will empower youths and industrialize Luanshya – Chisanga

People’s Alliance for Change ‘PAC’ Parliamentary candidate for Luanshya Central Constituency Patience Chisanga says once elected her priority will be industrializing Luanshya and empower the Youths.

Ms Chisanga said that Luanshya Central Constituency has a vast number of challenges that the Town has faced over the years that needs to be addressed.

She said the absence of determined and passionate leader that can drive the agenda of finding locally driven solutions to address the problems being faced is one of the challenges.

“Having been born and raised in Luanshya, I have come to fully understand and appreciate the vast challenges of the constituency which require a locally driven industrialization agenda that would spur socio-economic development and job creation.

“That’s is why I made the decision to step aside from the corporate world and joined active politics under the People’s Alliance for Change, with an aspiration to serve the entire population of Luanshya Central as Member of Parliament to attain this lacking aspiration of Industrialization,” she said.

Ms Chisanga who is also PAC media Director said that the economic development in Luanshya Central is contingent upon the introduction of the industries, including promotion of a thriving agriculture sector which will be key urban growth and development.

She said value addition to agricultural produce as well as empowerment of small scale farmers will be key in driving the agenda such as setting up of dry fruit and Maize processing plants.

Ms Chisanga said among others will be the engagement and collaboration with stakeholders through advocacy to have a youth empowerment centre that will support young people with skills development, capacity building, mentoring and awarding of scholarships.

She said the youth empowerment Centre which will be owned by the people of Luanshya, will be funded by corporate institutions, local and international organizations and further extend its work to improving the educational standards, recreational activities.

Ms Chisanga has called upon the electorates in Luanshya Central to allow her serve as their member of parliament who they can easily work with in creating the future, deliver to the best of her ability, with dedication, creativity and excellence for the sustainable betterment of the Constituency.

She said she is aware of a deplorable road network in the constituency and it’s part of her manifesto as parliamentary candidate to have better roads and sanitation which is not dependent on CDF allocation.

“My party, the People’s Alliance for Change PAC desires to have an improved healthcare system. Facilities will be equipped both with staff and essential kits and medicines. Therefore, I will take it upon myself to lobby for the construction of new facilities and upgrade of the existing ones through the Constituency Development Fund Allocation, with support from the corporate world,” she said.

Ms Chisanga said that she will also ensure full optimization of health worker and patient well-being through lobbying for an increased workforce.

She said she will build capacity that will encompass methods for tracking and measuring outcomes of performance in the civil service.
