Chief Justice Mumba Malila says he is yet to receive a report on why the case involving former Patriotic Front Deputy Secretary General Mumbi Phiri has not come up for hearing.
Speaking with journalists, Dr Malila said he would like the Judicial system to work expeditiously and ensure persons accused of crimes are taken to court quickly so that they exonerate themselves.
And Dr Malila said the Judiciary has started implementing judicial reforms that do not require legislative amendments.
He said the reforms that require legislative and constitutional amendments will be handled over a period of time but that they are being worked on.
