Former NDC leader Chishimba Kambwili says that he has not been preaching hate speech against anyone or any tribe but only speaks the truth.
Speaking shortly after he made an appeal against his suspension by the electoral commission of Zambia against his suspension to campaign, Mr Kambwili said he however apologized to the ECZ on holding a rally.
“It is unfortunate that a door-to-door campaign turned into a huge gathering that was not intended or planned, it was the people that turned out in large numbers that promoted a rally, which is against the ECZ’s guidelines on holding huge gatherings,” he said.
Mr Kambwili, who is now a PF member said that he is the victim as he was only speaking the truth against UPND leader Hakainde Hichilema who he alleges that he speaks tribalism and has evidence of the said act.
Mr Kambwili said he does not hate Tonga speaking people but only is against one man who wants to be a president based on tribal lines.
“I will not apologize for speaking the truth, i have never uttered any hate speak against anyone, I’m against the voting pattern in southern province where the people have been synced to believe that they can only vote for the UPND” he said.
Mr Kambwili said that what he is speaking against is regional voting, because for one to be president that person has to be voted for by the entire regions in the country.
“I do not support tribalism, I actually denounce it because it is detrimental to the country, my message will not stop, as long as this man wants to be voted by his own, other provinces must regret him, I have nothing to apologize for, this is the truth,” he said.
Mr Kambwili said that he will continue speaking against what is wrong and will promote what is right.
“If you call a white man, white man because he is a white, is that racism? If you call someone a tribalist, when they are tribalistic, is that hate speech? I only speak the truth, I’m not tribalist, and I do not hate Tongas, I have nothing against the Tonga speaking people, and if you scared of my message, be warned that watch the space,” he said.
