Police in Lusaka have arrested 47-year-old man who attempted to kill his wife by pushing her from the moving vehicle.

Kenneth Taguta of Garden house area in a company of his 14 year old daughter went to pick his wife Lilian Kasalika 45, who was coming from Nairobi, Kenya yesterday at Kenneth Kaunda International Airport August 4.

But after picking her, on their way along the Airport road, the couple picked up a quarrel and the husband opened the front passenger’s door where the wife was and pushed her out from the moving motor vehicle (Prado) and she landed on the ground with the head.

Police Spokesperson Esther Katongo who confirmed the attempted murder said Ms Kasalika sustained multiple injuries and became unconscious.

Ms Katongo said the victim was rushed to Levy Mwanawasa Hospital where she’s still admitted.

“She was bleeding through the nose and was unable to talk. The suspect was apprehended and is detained in Police custody,” she said.

The incidence happened on way along Airport road near Research Institute around 02:00 hours.
