Hilton Garden Inn open doors in Lusaka

By NCHIMUNYA MIYOBA
Hilton Garden Inn General Manager Kudzayi Nheweyrmbwa says Zambia is one of Southern Africa’s hidden gems  and has long been favoured for its beautiful views, friendly locals and diversity.

Mr Nheweyembwa said this is seen by the positive effects travel and tourism has had on the country’s economy, which is forecasted to increase by 6.5 per cent to K7.9 billion compared to K 7.4 billion of 2017.

Speaking at a corporate cocktail held in Kitwe for Copperbelt based corporates, travel agents and the media last evening, Mr Nheweyembwa said management was delighted to open the first Hilton Garden Inn property in Zambia.

Mr Nheweyembwa said the hotel which wholly owned by NAPSA has 98 per cent locals employed as per requirement of government conditions.

“The hotel boasts of contemporary indoor and outdoor spaces that include 150 square meters banqueting space and pre-function areas making it ideal to host events and special occasions.

“Management is elated by the positive response the hotel had gotten from the public since it open its doors. We are in close proximity to numerous restaurants, shops and offices so both leisure and business travellers will be met with a stay tailored to their needs,” he said.
