Hauloads Africa has donated sports kit to Chingola Blue Stars Football Club.

The logistic firm has also signed a memorandum with the club executive to be providing K5, 000 monthly financial support.

The move is aimed at improving football standards and at least give a talent to youths of Chingola.

Speaking during the handover today at the Hauloads offices in Chingola, Hauloads Director Ken Hall said football is a viable and well-paying career if nurtured properly.

Hall said the sponsorship is aimed at improving soccer standards so that Hauloads can be brand lifting the morale at the club.

“We want to grow with you because sport plays a key role in uplifting living standards of communities and uniting people,” he said.

And Hauloads General Manager Lenny Savopoulos told the club executive that Hauloads wants to go beyond providing kit to the team.

“We don’t want sponsorship to end here at the handover, we want to be part of the cheer leaders in the pitch, witness the successes and failures of the team. In short we want to journey together with you,” he said.

Haulods Operations Manager Andy Mpundu said Chingola Blue Stars was chosen as an appreciation to the law and order being maintained by police.

Mpundu said Hauloads as a road user has enjoyed good relations with police and there was no better way of reciprocating to show good gesture than sponsoring the police team.

In receipt, Chingola Police Chief Peter Miselo thanked Hauloads for the good gesture.

Miselo who was speaking in speech read for him by Chingola Traffic Officer-In-Charge Clement Kibelo said the kit will motivate the team to do better.

Hauloads is a subsidiary of Green Door Group. Other companies under its wing are Cargo 2 Congo (C2C) and Ka Go 2 Go (KG2G).
