Hats off to Chingola Mayor for cleaning alleys

Dear Editor,

Please allow me to recognise and offer my praise and congratulations to the Mayor of Chingola Titus Tembo, Department of Health at the Council and Chingola Municipal Council as a whole, on a Job well done on the cleaning of the back alleys (ama santy road) between Kwacha Street and Kabundi Road and between Kabundi Road and Mkushi Road.

This is a very commendable gesture by the Council that must be supported by all meaningful residents of Chingola and ensure these alleys stay garbage free from now on wards.

I went round to just appreciate the work being done and I spoke to Simon Kabwe who is in charge of the work and he told me this is an ongoing exercise by the council.

Other alleys ear-marked for cleaning include the alley behind President Avenue from Mkushi Road to Independence Avenue (Kitwe Road) and the one behind Freedom Avenue.

This is very good plan and project by the council must be embraced by all. Let us all ensure we report anyone damping garbage in these and other areas indiscriminately.

This project by the council also needs to be back up by a reliable, efficient and sustainable waste management system that will be support and embraced by all; residents, businesses, corporates and the council as a whole.

Hats off to His Worship the Mayor of Chingola Mr Titus Tembo and the Council. This is a job well done……Apa epashili pakuleka MWABOMBENI!!!!!!!!!!!

Proud Chingola Resident
