Chingola Mayor Titus Tembo says that hand washing is vital for a health future.
Mr Tembo said that hand washing is one of the simplest way to prevent the spread of any virus and ensure better health outcomes.
He was speaking at Chiwempala Market where they was hand washing day activity which was organized by the Council.
Mr Tembo told the marketeers to take hand washing seriously as there are at risk in that they handle money from different people.
He said that the people should ensure that they are protected hence washing hands after every activity with soap and water.
The Mayor said that hand washing also need to be championed consistently with supervised measures for our young children for their wellbeing.
Mr Tembo said parents’ needs to bring up their children in such health habits of washing hands.
