Halt prescribed meds in Public clinics

By MAIMBO MWEEMBA
Nchanga Constituency’s Nsansa ward Councilor Benson Bwalya has called on Government to address shortage of drugs in public clinics found in Nchanga.

Mr Bwalya said that the residents in Nchanga had confidence in UPND that is why they opted for change.

He said it is unfortunate that residents are still going to the clinics only to come back with prescriptions.

Mr Bwalya has since appealed to the Members of Parliament of Chingola and Nchanga constituencies to ensure that the people of Chingola have access to medicines.

“We cannot accept for our people to remain without medicine, we do not want people succumbing to illnesses because of lack of medicines in public clinics the thing that UPND condemned before they were elected into power,” he said.

Mr Bwalya said that days of shortage of essential medicines in public clinics should be urgently addressed because most residents cannot afford to buy the prescribed medicine.
