GPZ describes the return of cadres in buses and stations as unacceptable

By IREEN MULENGA
Golden Party of Zambia (GPZ) President Jackson Silavwe says the return of the UPND cadres to the markets and bus stations initiated by the UPND Lusaka Province Chairperson Obvious Mwaliteta is totally unacceptable and must be condemned by every well-meaning citizen.

Mr Silavwe has also urged President Hakainde and the UPND leadership to find creative ways of empowering their members away from markets and bus stations and all our public spaces.

He said there is no market or bus station that has ever been built by a political party or cadres to warrant their presence in these public places.

“Public spaces are for every Zambians regardless of their political affiliation, it is not the duty of ordinary Zambians to reward the UPND members who contributed to their election victory. That responsibility squarely lay’s on the shoulders of President Hakainde and the UPND leadership,” he said.

Mr Silavwe has urged the UPND to depoliticize the markets and bus station forthwith.
