Govt working to improve officers conditions

By MAIMBO MWEEMBA
President Hakainde Hichilema says Government is working out measures to improve the conditions of service for officers under the Zambia Correctional Service.

Mr Hichilema also said Government is planning to introduce incentives such as the provision of Mortgages.

He said this will allow the officers to retire in dignity and be able to look after their families.

Speaking during the pass-out parade of cadets and warders at Nyango correctional staff training school in Kaoma district of Western province, President Hichilema said the continuous recruitment of officers by Government in the security wings will improve service delivery needed by government.

He has since reiterated his administration’s commitment to job creation among its citizens in the country.

The President said Government appreciates the sacrifices that the defense force makes in ensuring that the country enjoys peace.
