Education minister Douglas Syakalima says government is ready to work with the private sector to ensure schools are safe from Covid-19 for the second term of the 2022 academic year.
Speaking when he received hygiene materials worth 50,000 Kwacha from IHS Zambia at his office, Mr Syakalima said that Covid 19 cases are more than likely to increase despite the low numbers recorded in the recent past.
The minister said it is important to support the preventive measures in schools with hygiene materials.
And IHS Zambia director commercial Augustine Phiri said his organization will continue supplementing government efforts in ensuring that both learners and teachers are protected from the Covid 19 pandemic
