Health Minister Chitalu Chilufya has reiterated that government is in the process of establishing fertility clinics across the country to address the health challenge.
Dr Chilufya however says the major challenge is human capital.
The minister said this when Merck Foundation Chief Executive Officer and President of Merck “More Than a Mother” Dr Rasha Kelej paid a courtesy call on him.
Dr Chilufya said the Ministry will treasure the partnership with Merck Foundation as it will address different issues and save the lives of women through treating infertility.
And Dr Kelej said the First lady Esther Lungu and the Ministry of Health have been awarded for their effort in empowering infertile women.
Dr Kelej said the foundation has also organized the first media health training with more than 50 journalists to learn the international standards and media ethics for reporting on sensitive issues.
