Patriotic Front (PF) candidate Golden Mwila has been elected as Member of Parliament for Mufulira Central Constituency in Mufulira.
Mr Mwila polled 7,916 votes and his opponent Reagan Kashinga scored 7,206 votes .
Returning Officer Packson Banda declared him the duly elected yesterday at 17:00hrs.
Mr Mwila thanked the people of Mufulira Central for elected him and promised to for fill the promises he made during the campaign’s.
“ This is a joyble moment for me, and the same time this is the beginning of a lot of work to do for Constituency,” he said.
And in Kankoyo United Part For National Development (UPND) Heartson Mabeta has been elected as a member of Parliament for Kankoyo.
Mr Mabeta scored 7,911 votes against his opponent PF Bishop Edward Chomba who scored 6,767 votes.
Returning Officer for Kankoyo Chirwa Christine declared him a winner.
