A-five- year old in Kitwe’s New Kawama compound has been defiled by unknown criminal.
Copperbelt deputy Police Deputy commanding officer Peacewell Mweemba said that the criminals broke into the children’s room on March 6 at around 01:l15 hours by removing mad blocks from one of the windows.
Mr Mweemba said that the victim was later picked by the criminals and taken to unknown place where she was defiled .
The victim sustained a painful vaginal and has been admitted to Kitwe Teaching Hospital as she awaits to be transferred to Ndola teaching hospital for specialized treatment because her condition is unstable.
Mr Mweemba said that the incident was reported by the victim’s uncle Michael Mwange aged 29 after the victim was seen by neighbors
“ Brief facts are that near by neighbor’s heard noise and decided to see what was going on outside, and saw the victim coming from the other direction of the house and that is how the reporter woke up and went to report the matter to the police, “ he said
Mr Mweemba also said a medical report was issued as no arrests have been made.
