A -four-year-old girl of Makina village in Kabompo has died after been hit by a motor vehicle as she was crossing the road.
North Western Province Acting Police commander Fred Mulenga said the accident happen when Muyamba Kahalu 54, whilst driving a motor vehicle hit the juvenile who was crossing the road from South to North.
Dr Mulenga said the 4-year-old died on the stop after sustaining a fractured left arm and a dip cut to the chin.
“The accident occurred on February 28, 2022 along Kabompo-Manyinga road at Mingeli area at around 18:30 hours, and involved was a Toyota raum registration number ACP 8406, the motor vehicle had its right head lamp damaged and deformed bonnet,” he said.
He said that the body of the victim is deposited in Kabompo mortuary.
Dr Mulenga said the Driver is charged and detained for the offence of causing death by dangerous driving.
