A -15-year old girl of Chingola’s Nchanga North area has been defiled by a known man in the same area.
Copperbelt Police commanding officer Peacewell Mweemba said the victim’s family identified the man only as Bwalya Kasonde of unknown address.
Mr Mweemba said that the incident occurred on March 19, 2023 on the victim’s way back from her brother’s house where her mother had sent her.
He said the victim met the accused along Nsama road who grabbed her laptop bag.
Mr Mweemba said the incident was reported by the victim’s mother.
“He took the bag from her and when the victim followed him in order to retrieve her bag, the accused asked her to enter the house where he took advantage of her and had unlawful carnal knowledge of her,” he said.
Mr Mweemba said the victim sustained painful private parts and the accused has been arrested
And Mr Mweemba said that a medical report has not yet been signed by the doctor.
