A- 14-year-old girl, of Kitwe’s Kamitondo Township has allegedly been defiled by her 20-year-old boyfriend.
Copperbelt Police Commanding Officer Peacewell Mweemba said the victim went to see her elder sister within Kamitondo and on her way, she met her boyfriend.
Mr Mweemba said the suspect; Isaac Kumwenda told her to go to his home and sweep for him but later defiled her.
“The suspect later took pictures of the two and posted on Facebook, while they were inside the house, upon seeing the photos, people informed the mother, who went to Kumwenda’s house and found her daughter there,” he said
Mr Mweenda said that police also interviewed the victim, in the presence of the accused, over the matter and she accepted that the suspect had sex with her.
He said that the suspect has been apprehended and the victim has also been issued with a medical report.
And in a similar incident- A-16-year-old girl who is mentally challenged has been defiled by unknown people, in Ndola.
The victim was dragged into an incomplete building by the suspects, who later forced themselves on her.
Mr Mweemba said the victim later went back home and informed her father about the incident, who reported to the police and a medical report was issued.
“A docket has been opened and investigations instituted, and no arrest had been made,” he said.
