Ghanaian footballer who was attending trials at Division One Zone Three outfit Kabwe Youth Soccer Academy (KYSA) collapsed during training.
Justice Akonai, 24, died on Monday at Kabwe Central Hospital where he was admitted.
KYSA team manager Davy Mugoli and Central Province health director Dr Charles Msiska confirmed the death of Akonai in separate interviews yesterday.
“He [Akonai] came for trials and he was sent by the agents from the Copperbelt. He died on Monday in the hospital,” Mugoli said.
