Fruitless: Lungu meets KCM Chairman Agarwal again

Dear Editor,

Today President Edgar Lungu is meeting Konkola Copper Mines Chairman Anil Agarwal.

The last time Mr Agarwal met President Lungu was on March 24, 2017 where he smeared the President with lies.

Vedanta’s Chairman outlined his 50-year vision for mining in the Copperbelt and his plans for investing another $1 billion for the next phase of growth.

Nchanga Member of Parliament Chali Chilombo has been on record in parliament asking the leader of Business the Vice President Inonge Wina to tell the nation as to when the money will begin to trickle into the country.

Mr Agarwal also excited the Head of State that he would create 7,000 jobs.

“I want KCM to be the largest integrated copper producer in Africa, the pride of Zambia and Vedanta’s hub for copper and cobalt production in Africa.’’

Today the two men meet again. What do you think will be the questions from President Lungu? What do you think will be a lie of Mr Agarwal?
