Former ZAF Commander Eric Chimese arrested.

Former Zambia Air Force Commander Lt. Gen. Eric Chimese has been arrested by the Drug Enforcement Commission in Lusaka and charged on several offenses.

Mr Chimese has been arrested and jointly charged with James Chungu Director at Chita Lodge for concealing property.

DEC Spokesperson Theresa Katongo  confirmed that the two have also been charged with willful giving of false information, abuse of authority of office and being in possession of property suspected to be proceeds of crime.

Ms Katongo said the two have since been released on bond and will appear in court soon.

Last week, the Drug Enforcement Commission was sued by Chita Lodge over Ibex Hill property it seized clon suspicion it was owned by General Chinese who was recently fired by President Edgar Lungu.
