The Zambia International trade fair has officially opened after a two year dry spell because of Covid-19.
And Commerce, Trade and Industry Minister Chipoka Mulenga said Government is excited with the opening because the country had lost revenue owing to none hosting of the annual event.
Speaking after a match past from Jacaranda Mall all the way to the trade fair showground, the Minister thanked management at the trade fair for working tirelessly to ensure the show is open to the public amid Covid 19.
Mr Mulenga also encouraged local exhibitors to open their stands so that they showcase their business potential to the world.
This year’s 56th Trade fair is being held under the theme “Promoting Value Addition for Sustainable Growth,” and has attracted over 800 local and foreign exhibitors.
And Zambia international Trade fair Chairperson Elizabeth Nkumbula expressed happiness with the turnout for both local and international exhibitors.
