Five people have been apprehended for illegally collecting money in bus Stations and Markets.
This was during a joint operation conducted by Council and State police in Lusaka.
Council Public Relations Manager Mwaka Nakweti said the authority has also suspended collection of Money by bus drivers.
Ms Nakweti also said that the drivers were collecting K25 under the pretext of helping other bus drivers facing challenges.
“During the operation our Team closed down some shops that were being used as Dens for some suspected Cadres in Markets,” she said.
And Police Spokesperson Esther Katongo said the operations will continue until Cadres are completely removed out of the Markets and bus stations
