The Zambia Football Fans Association (ZAFFA) wants FAZ to consider appointing Chipolopolo technical advisor Aljosa Asanovic as Senior National Team coach.
FAZ has launched a search for the new Chipolopolo coach after confirming that interim trainer Beston Chambeshi has left the post.
Croatian born football expert Asanovic has been Chipolopolo Technical Advisor since July.
ZAFFA General Secretary Chawezi Katwizi said Asanovic is the right man to lead Zambia.
“Mr. Chambeshi has done his part so let him rest. We need a coach who is more versatile and more technical,” Katwizi said.
“I would love the Croatians on the technical bench to continue, especially theTechnical Director let him become head coach. And let FAZ attach an upcoming coach like Perry Mutapa, Tenant Chilumba or other upcoming coaches so that they get the knowledge from the Croatians,” he said.
Katwizi said the next permanent Chipolopolo coach should maintain the crop of players the Beston Chambeshi led coaching bench has been using.
Zambia has never had a permanent National Team coach since Micho’s exit in July this year.
