FAZ constitution to guide CAF nomination

Following the meeting hosted by Minister of Sport, Youth and Child Development Moses Mawere at the Government Complex on Thursday afternoon, the Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) wishes to advise members of the public on the official position of FAZ.

In regard to nomination by FAZ for the CAF Executive Committee position, the two candidates, namely Kalusha Bwalya and Andrew Kamanga will be required to undergo an integrity test as guided by the current FAZ Constitution.

FAZ Communication Manager Mwiza Chanda said FAZ Ethics committee will process both candidates in accordance with the FAZ Code of Ethics ahead of the nomination process by the FAZ executive committee.

“FAZ wishes to thank Minister Mawere for hosting the meeting and providing the assurance of Government’s confidence in the administration of FAZ to arrive at an open and amicable agreement,” he said.

Chanda said the public will be informed of the outcome of the process and on the dates of the FAZ Executive Committee meeting.
