Farmers to vote for development-SAFADA

By ALICE NACHILEMBE
Small Scale Famers Development Agency (SAFADA) says that Farmers will vote for development and prosperity this Thursday for presidential and general elections without intimidations.

SAFADA president Boyd Moobwe said that farmers are impressed with the current development deliberations in Agriculture done by the current Government and its manifested support and development in the Agriculture sector.

Mr Moobwe said that Farmers are not desperate and interested to change governments based on human promises but want change on agriculture policies and seek protection of their well-being.

He said they are appealing to President Edgar Lungu to make his final remarks on the pending Chipilepile land issues before elections.

Mr Moobwe said that it is imperative that political particles and their aspiring presidential candidates take it to their hearts that farmers in Zambia this year will only vote for what they have seen and not what will happen.

He said the president  has challenged the Ministry of Agriculture to assist small scale farmers with necessary economic incentive to enable them to increase their productivity and farm production to mitigate high demand for farm products and reduce the instances of importing vegetables from other countries .
