Expose thieves, Fred M ‘membe challenges President Hichilema

By ALICE NACHILEMBE
Socialist Party President Fred M’membe has challenged President Hakainde Hichilema to expose the people he has accused of been thieves.

Mr M’membe said that when those in key Government positions accuse individuals or cliques of individuals of thieving there is need to be specific of the people been talked of.

He said the thieves should be mentioned direct by names and have them arrested and prosecuted.
Mr M’membe said that making serious accusations of theft against anyone or make generalized accusations is not the best way to deal with the matter.

“Being wrongfully accused of criminal offences can lead to serious negative consequences to those wrongfully accused and their families,” he said.

He said there should be exposure of the men or women, involved whether in politics, business, or in social life.

Mr M’membe said that it is not right to attack an honest man or woman, or even with hysterical exaggeration to assail a bad man or woman with untruth.

He said that even in the case of crime, if it is attached to sensational, and untruthful fashion, the attack may do more damage to the public mind than the crime itself.

Mr M’membe said there should be no rest in the endless war against the people involved but it should be conducted with sanity as well as with resolution.
