Dear Editor
I write to say the former first lady madam Esther Lungu can own those 15 flats and even more. And the Joint Investigative Team (JIT) of DEC, ACC and Police are not saying the former first lady cannot own the houses.
What the JIC are trying to do is to actually clean her name by making her qualify the assets seized by proof in documentation of how she acquired or built them, period.
I am therefore baffled by the noise that is emanating from PF zealots saying UPND is humiliating the former first lady. It is not UPND that want that information but our own investigative wings that you created yourselves.
Where is the noise if the properties were legitimately acquired that you don’t want us as the nation to know.
The questioning is because there was a lot of illicit dealings in the previous government where even genuinely acquired properties or assets should be cleared so that no one with cleanly acquired properties should be pointed fingers at.
So ba Esther Lungu mukwae, this is the opportunity to help yourself.
