Kabundi Ward Councillor Brian Banda say entrepreneurship skills is an essential investment in youths.
Speaking when he met two youths groups, Light House of Hope and Amaka Yamusepela clubs, Mr Banda said the skills are essential for their survival to meet their needs and reach their full potential.
He said that youths cooperative clubs are vehicle for them to receive empowerment and skills.
Mr Banda said that cooperatives are a good platform because they help to build the youths as a team.
He said that the youths should also put in effort in what they are doing to improve their livelihood and desist from bad vices.
“Youths can only be helped if they are willing to be helped and not to be forced. I urge you to be displined and committed to work in the cooperatives.
“Youths sholud put in efforts because no one will help them if they lack seriousness to improve their lives. We help people who need help not force help on those just roaming around the community drinking and smoking,” he said.
Amaka Yamusepela cooperative Chairperson Douglas Chikamba said that the youths has embarked on various projects which they hope to be fruitful and benefit them.
