The Operation Young Vote (OYV) Executive Director Guess Nyirenda has advised government to ensure that the constitutional reforms that it is about to embark on are held at a low cost as possible.
Recently Justice Minister Mulambo Haimbe disclosed that government will embark on constitutional reforms.
Mr Nyirenda said that while the organization welcomes the pronouncement on constitution reforms, it also wants to see to that the cost of the exercise is as minimal as possible.
“As OYV our view is that, we can conduct the Constitution and legal reforms on minimal cost and affordable as a country, this is because we have we have held a number of reforms in the past,” he said.
Mr Nyirenda has appealed to government to ensure that a consensus is reached in the constitution reforms to avoid complete failure in the process.
