Movement for Democratic Change (MDC) an alliance partner of the UPND has said the unprecedented employment of 30,496 teachers by the new dawn government will greatly improve the education systems in public schools.
MDC Media Director Dr Kafula Mubanga said the UPND Alliance led government must therefore be commended for this milestone in teacher recruitment, which is the first in Zambia’s history.
Speaking at a press briefing in Lusaka, Dr Mubanga said this recruitment will ensure that all public schools have adequate teachers to cater for the growing population of learners necessitated by the free education policy of the new dawn administration.
He said Zambians must therefore avoid the opposition that is always hallucinating that this government is not committed to what it says as it is now evident that it lives up to its promises to the people of Zambia.
