All is set for Saturday’s delayed Zambia Amateur Athletics Association (ZAAA) elective annual general meeting at Mulungushi Conference Centre in Lusaka.
Top on the menu is the pending election of office bearers from the top to the bottom.
In the presidential contest former 400m hurdles world champion Samuel Matete is facing incumbent president Elias Mpondela.
ZAA has already declared Samuel Matete’s candidature valid ahead of the elective annual general meeting in Lusaka.
According to the list of successful candidates released by ZAA, Matete and Mpondela are the only presidential candidates.
Godwin Chenda, Maureen Situmbeko, Bernard Bwalya and Tonny Khunga are fighting for the role of vice president.
Meanwhile, Davison Mung’ambata is unopposed for the position of General Secretary.
