The Supreme Council of the International Peace and Governance Council (IPGC) at the American University of Peace and Governance in the united States of America (USA) has appointed Edgar Ng’oma as its Pioneer Senior lecturer.
The IPGC which is dedicated to the study of Peace and Diplomacy globally, has also appointed Edgar Ng’oma as its Visiting Professor of Philosophy and Distinguished Fellowship of Chartered Institute of Peace and Governance (CIPG).
The conferment took place at a colourful ceremony held at the National Museum of Arts, Culture and Tourism at Arusha International Conference Centre (AICC) in Arusha in Tanzania.
Conferring Dr. Ng’oma as Visiting Professor of Philosophy, Prof. Robert Tay of the same University in the USA said the world today needed experienced men and women of Prof. Ng’oma’s calibre to tap into their experience after working in the office of different Presidents as was his case.
On accepting the appointment and the honour bestowed on him, Prof. Ng’oma thanked the IPGC governing council for the timely appointment saying the appointment will now help him lobby African leaders in the transformation of Africa through the development of a total of 165 smart cities in Africa with an average of three smart cities in each of the 55 African States.
Prof. Ng’oma also said that investors are ready to invest in the project targeting real estate and energy with Mitsubishi Company of Japan indicating interest in the development of high speed train railway systems.
And the State of the African Diaspora (SOAD) Prime Minister Luis George Tin who is based in France also signed the agreement for the development of Celebrity City in Zambia to be named Zollywood whose land has already been secured in Eastern Province.
The initiative will result in the development of one of the biggest international airport on the continent to handle direct flights to all the continents of the world.
“My associates will engage Hollywood executives in Los Angeles California and Bollywood Bombay in India to help design and facilitate the creation and development of Zollywood City in Zambia to be the hub for Art, Sport, Tourism, Science and Africa Trade,” he said
This is according to a statement availed to the in Lusaka by the IPGC of Tanzania.
