The Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) has announced the reissuance of a tender for printing electoral materials, including ballot papers, ballot paper posters, blind voter templates, and announcement forms.
Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) Head Officer Bob Musenga who is also the Acting Chief Electoral Officer said this move followed the cancellation of the initial tender due to substantial governance issues within the solicitation document.
Mr Musenge said the tender will officially be issued on Friday, September 22, 2023.
He said the tender will be opened to all eligible bidders, both domestic and international.
Mr Musenge said prospective bidders can access the bidding document from the Zambia Public Procurement Authority (ZPPA) e-GP System for a non-refundable fee of K1,000.00 or the equivalent in United States dollars.
The Acting Chief Electoral Officer called on all eligible Zambian citizens, to register as voters in the on going Continuous Registration of Voters
“The ECZ remains dedicated to fostering transparent, inclusive, and equitable elections in Zambia, with updates on the number of registered voters to be provided at the end of September 2023,” he said.
