President Edgar Lungu has called on the Church to play a major role in facilitating for the political dialogue process.
President Lungu says the dialogue process can be achieved if the church takes center stage and provide guidance over the matter.
The Head of State was speaking during a church service at saint Mary’s Assumption Catholic Church in Chilanga.
Meanwhile President Lungu clarified that he was scheduled to visit the church before the by-election and that his visit should not be mistaken for a campaign strategy.
And Saint Mary’s Assumption Catholic Church Parish priest Godfrey Mashilipa challenged politicians to be good role models for the youth.
Father Mashilipa said politicians should desist from politics of insults and hatred but focus on preaching peace.
He expressed concern over the tendency by some politicians who base their campaign messages on insults.
