Eastern Water and Sewerage Company (EWSC) has added MTN Money as means of paying water bills.
EWSC uses only direct payment through the teal for customers to pay water bills.
EWSC Managing Director Lytone Kanowa announced the good news today to The Independent Observer in an interview.
Mr Kanowa said the MTN money mode of payment will simply bill payment and decongest the queues that builds up towards month end.
He said other facilities such as Airtel and Zamtel money, Shoprite money and Xapit bill muster will all be commissioned soon.
He said customers with MTN Mobile can dial *303# then choose option two which says ‘Pay bill’ then thereafter go to option two which say Utilities after select two for utilities Eastern Water is on option seven.
He said the customers then can enter the customer number which appears top left of each water bill.
