Rainbow Party has called on all the electorate not to use emotions when casting their votes in this year’s general election.
Rainbow Party National Spokesman Humphrey Kabwe said that there is need for all the voters to vote prudently so that they don’t bring in a waste government.
“We challenge the electorate to learn from 1991 voters who got emotionally charged and decided to vote KK out of power because of high prices of goods and shortages of essential commodities but the change of government brought more misery on them due to loss of jobs after liquidation of many local companies, their emotional vote made them destitute and from that point many of them have never received terminal benefits,” he said.
Mr Kabwe said that it is important to continue with the current government so that they can build on the achievement made so far.
He said bringing in new Government will slow down the little achievement and continuity is vital in all developmental stages.
