Young Women Christian Association (YWCA) National Youth Coordinator Besa Kambamfwile says women should come out and let their voices be head.
Ms Kambamfwile said women are dying in silence with the hope that their men will change one day.
She said women should not stay back till they are killed by their abusive husbands but should only stay back when they are happy.
Ms Kambamfwile said the 16 days of activism is important period in that each day has a symbolic meaning and the organization has got different approach in the fight against Gender Based Violence.
She said YWCA is interacting with the youths across the country among them youths in Lusaka who are making use of social medial to campaign against GBV.
Ms Kambamfwile said in Chingola YWCA is also sensitizing the youths on GBV to take the word in their communities through ‘donate a pad campaign.’
She said this week is important as it also sensitize on human rights especially women’s rights.
