Dongwe Councillor sinks 3 boreholes in Musenga

Kalulushi Dongwe ward Councillor Paul Chivunda has sunk three boreholes in his ward in response to end water blues in new Musenga area.

Mr Chivunda said the residents of new Musenga have had challenges with water; hence the mitigation measures to enable residents have access to clean and safe water.

He said he lobbied for the boreholes from the Mayor’s office and the MPs office because from the time he has been in the office as a Councillor the area has had water challenges.

Mr Chivunda also said the upper side of the ward in mine area, namely; Lusuwishi, Lalafuta, Lwena and Kambopo hardly receive water from Nkana water.

“The boreholes will therefore ease the residents’ struggle to access water,” he said.

He said that water is important in carrying out day today activities in homes so access to water should not be scarce.

Mr Chivunda who is also Kalulushi Deputy Mayor said he will see to it that the people have water near in their vicinity to ease them from a burden of walking distances to find water.
