Works of Jesus Christ ministries reverend Clifford Chisha has called on the media in the district to be impartial as they disseminate information to the masses.
Speaking during a homily to appreciate the media in the district , Reverend Chisha also encouraged journalists to use their acquired skills to help indoctrinate the word of God in their works.
And Reverend Chisha said that the media is as important as the church because they are the voice for the voiceless in various communities.
He also acknowledged the challenges that journalists face in their quest to gather news, noting that it is essential for Zambians to respect journalist.
Reverend Chisha further commended the media for ensuring that Zambia has never experienced war or unrest due to careless and overzealous reporting since independence.
He called for more media coverage on religious happenings in the country so as to balance up Christians countrywide.
And veteran Journalist Franklin Tembo Senior commended the Reverend Chisha for remembering and appreciating the media.
Mr Tembo said echoed the need for journalists to remain truthful and avoid careless reporting capable of Jeopardizing the peace the country enjoys.
